When crossing carica with other ficus. We can create hybrids that are not susceptible to certain diseases and parasites/inscects. That normally infect/attack F.Carica. Many countries have done this. Example here ---> https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7317799/ Carica x Erecta
