You clearly have gone down the Caprifig rabbit hole!!!! I have been wondering if you created an artificial habitat in a greenhouse. Like the greenhouses in the snow, could a population of fig wasps naturalize in that artificial ecosystem?

I see no reason why it would not be successful, we just need someone to try it, and I think it will be done sooner than later.

I have been saying yes to this for a couple years now. But have not seen anyone try it.
The "greenhouse" would need to be climate controlled. You would also need Capri tree's that are a few years in age.
I find they don't produce correctly until they get a little age to them.
You may be able to pull off keeping the wasp alive without the chill cycle.
As long as you have figs being produce when the wasp needs.
But it may be better to control the temps completely.
That way your trees go through the natrual cycles and so does the wasp.
You also need that chill cycle to get profichi. Which is where all the pollen or in some areas most of the pollen is.
