At the Food Lion today and they are delicious, and no @figpumper I didn’t do the nonchalant pop one in my mouth test first 🤣😂. The container has openings so I can tell by the smell they are very good. Beautiful strong sweet strawberry scent. They are from Plant City Florida which this is the time of year the strawberries are ripe there. They have a wonderful strawberry festival at this time of year there.
I bought 2 packs because 1wouldn’t last a day here.🤣😂🤣😂

Here’s a question, if I dry out 1or 2 of these strawberries and place them in the garden will the seeds on them germinate and grow?

They look great!

i already ordered 20 more bare root albion. lol. I have wild type but im mixing those in because my dog's pee kills them and these have deeper roots haha
I have the same problem, but I just ordered more strawberry plants haha.

Have you heard of the Charlotte variety? They are a cross between the super sweet French Mara Des Bois and another variety so apparently they are larger than the Maras, but also very sweet. The only place I can find them online now is Gurneys. 10 bare roots for $25.

I was just at Publix looking at the strawberries and the ones from that company def didn't look as good as yours. The ones from that company always look a bit under ripe compared to Driscolles (or whatever that company from Cali is). I wonder if the ones distributed to the stores in Florida are better because of shipping and bruising concerns.

When is the best places that I have found to buy bare root strawberries is Nourse Farms. I especially like that they are grown in Massachusetts, and those conditions make those plants tougher, I have found, then those grown and cushier growth conditions.
