Avocados, Persimmons, and Dragon Fruit of my

The wind was nuts today and knocked down at least 150 avocados. I was told these were Fuerte. Ideally I’d like to keep them on the tree and pick a dozen every week since they take a while to ripen. They say the best place to store an avocado is on the tree. After giving my mom and a friend 30 each, I’m still left with about 100. I guess that’s a good problem to have.

The dragon fruit was “bussin’” according to my son.

The Fuyu Persimmons will be a nice treat in about a week.

An amazing November's crop. I can't believe how beautiful your dragon fruits look so late in the year. Congratulations looks like you'll be enjoying guacamole from Thanksgiving to Christmas. What a fantastic crop. Do you use Gary from Laguna Hills Nursery honey water spray trick? You must be to get that many avocados. Unfortunately our Haas avocado trees were planted to near our Citrus Orchard. The bees prefer the sweet Citrus flowers to the somewhat better avocado flowers. So we never get a massive horde of avocados like you do. We spray honey water in the spring which helps.

No special treatment, other than extra water during the summer. The tree has a 15-20ft canopy and is 20 years old or so. I prefer Hass over this tree, but I'm not complaining about free avocados.
