anyone grow bush cherries?

Looking at maybe adding a few but wondering which variety. I'm leaning towards juliette for a bit sweeter and maybe even some eating out of hand and then cutie pie for the more compact growth size. Both would be used for cherries in syrup(like luxardos), jam, and juice.

By the way if youre a container grower and want pie cherries id look into these or if youre too cold for most fruit, theyre developed by university of Saskatchewan so theyre hardy to like zone 1

I was looking into these not long ago.
I tried growing cherries here but quickly found out it is futile...every fruit I try to grow here that needs a pollinator just won't work.
None of them bloom at the same time.

So I put in a Montmorency cherry tree.
Then I started looking into these bushes...just got put on hold.

We grow Jan, Joy and Joel bush cherries and they cross pollinate one another well.

Same for me regarding growing cherries....I had to cull my trees...

One of the benefits is theyre easy to net. But also I dont mind birds taking some of my fruit. I got a lot so its unlikely I wont get any.

We do not as our 1 gallon plants are still small until they flush out in spring.
