I use those too around the house. They work good. Tanglefoot works but I've never tried on fig trees.I like these Terro ant traps from
Other people have also recommended Tanglefoot (sticky tape) around the base of the tree, but I haven't tried it personally.

Is there a trail?
If you can tell where they're coming from you can do the sugar and borax mix near the hole.
Lol...I would have too!I haven’t looked yesterday because was getting dark, I only noticed them when I picked a rip fig and couple of them started coming from inside the eye but will look today. BTW: I still ate the fig after I washed the ants off![]()
No way after waiting months for figs to ripen will let ants take my yum yum plus if I happen to eat one or two ants well, adding a little protein to sugar is not badLol...I would have too!
They aren't going to stop me from eating figs.
I get a lot of the really tiny ants...some call them sugar ants.
Is it because they taste like sugar?...Hm![]()
They have outdoor liquid baits too.I have these and use them inside the house and they really work. I will add few around the tree, thanks
They have outdoor liquid baits too.
I dealt with this last year trying non toxic methods like borax bait traps and organza bags. Nothing seemed to work.As my figs started to ripen, I see a lot of ants on the tree. Whats some of the effectives ways to stop them? Or can they be stopped? for some reason I haven’t had to deal with this problem in the past

This year one application of cheap Sevin dust around the base of the tree and no more ants
These are the ones I use outdoors.I will look for that this way i can put spots on the trunk perhaps, its easier for them to get to it, thats the one
