Angelito Breba Is A Standout

That's a great idea - the tree is certainly small enough at this point!.
Then you can move it from tree to tree.

This year I made a large squirrel enclosure for my squirrel problem here. Version #1 is made with plastic deer netting but I plan to add metal chicken wire to the first 4' for version #2

I'm thinking of putting some trees on casters and leave them in front of the garage so I can roll them in at night and back out in the morning. Wont be able to to many but If I can protect half a dozen with a lot of figs it'll be worth it.
Thats a good idea as well for large tree's.

What shall we name this new move
1. Protection shuffle
2. Ripening dance
3. Ripening shuffle

Fig Fanatic will be the first to coin this new phase

With my penchant for alliteration, I'd add 😄
- ripening rumba
- protection polka
- figgy foxtrot

I just posted my tasting video on Angelito a few days ago. Arguably the best fig I've ever tasted.
Thanks for sharing that review. Sadly I'm still weeks away from main crop ripening here. You need to add Lamarito to complete the "ito" collection and for comparison reasons.

It would be a valid argument... I'm surprised you didn't tell your family a squirrel got it.

I'm wondering about the varying brix levels. 17 doesn't make sense to me for a ripe Angelito. Could it be the refractometer? Is there a way to calibrate or maybe a known brix test solution you can run a few times to see if it's consistent?
