Hello all. Im participating in sending some of my serviceberry to add to AFFN repository since mine seems pretty resistant of rust for the species.

Aparently air layering this tree is very challenging, so looking for all and every advice to help me get there. All experience air layering welcome

Hi. Sorry I don't have suggestions about air layering a serviceberry, but what is AFFN? When I googled I found something about a military financial network, so I'm assuming that is not the right AFFN.

Think this is what they are referring to… maybe lol

Figs are easy. Other plants take forever or so it seems. Have you tried scraping it and adding rooting hormone to the spot you scraped? Never Marcotted service berry myself. But it is worth a try.
