The Tamarillo tree. Does anybody have one? This sounds amazing.
Buying them in the grocery stores is the same as buying figs there. Picked before ripe, that’s why it’s not tasty. Also in the video it says your supposed to blanch them in boiling hot water to peel off the skin because the skin tastes terrible.i hate this fruit. lol. Tastes like a tomato but just worse in every way. They sell them at hispanic markets here. Maybe youd enjoy it.
IF i was gonna grow a sweet solanum species id probably do lulo or one of the good tasting ground cherries (which allegedly exist)
yes people usually just eat them scooping out the center, though i havent heard of blanching them, . Maybe true but it tasted so much like a tomato but like in a bad way. Cant see that part being massively different. it may be a cultivar thing idk.Buying them in the grocery stores is the same as buying figs there. Picked before ripe, that’s why it’s not tasty.
