A Few Breba

They all look great Tony, what's your opinion on yellow neches?
I'm a bad judge of taste I like them all. For breba it was quite nice considering I upped the watering time recently.

What can't come soon enough is the main crop. I want to see myself how close Yellow Neches is to the elusive White Baca.

Yeah that's what I was wondering too...might have some people kicking themselves. lol

I almost got a White Baca from I believe the source or the one selling in NM but it fell through unfortunately. If Yellow Neches is early enough for me a would like to get my hands on a 505H as well to test.

I have been eyeing Yellow Neches for a while but haven't jumped on it, I may though.
That one and Iranian Candy are still possible targets, I haven't looked at 505H, but I did see it is similar to the W. Baca.

So cool! I think I'm ripening my first Lamarito this year. It's the first time they've held on for me. They all look good... Well ripened!

I'm so ticked my 505H cutting didn't make it... at least it doesn't look like it

I'm thinking I need a serious reduction...like seriously serious.
I have too many Etnas and too many Celeste varients.
Figure if I can get rid of 12 or 15 just with these two types, I won't feel bad about adding the two above. lol

I have another dozen new ones I need to get you!

@I had my eye on Yellow Neches as well. though all your Fig Fruits look scrumptious. I personally believe that 505 h, and Yellow Neches, will be extremely close to being synonyms for White Baca. Though I doubt there will be many who will be kicking themselves about it. Any more than the happy Irene black Greek Growers will kick themselves over BG. I don't think BG is going up in price or affecting Irene's Black Greek price. The legend slash hype is already there.

@TorontoJoe I don't think you need to worry about getting another 505h cutting. LOL fig gazer passed out at least 40 of these cuttings this year to the Fig fanatic membership. Everyone's grateful to you for having made the time, and the effort to spread free cuttings to the membership. An effort that was not duplicated by much larger platforms.

I did a major purge the last two years and it feels great. I finally came to the realization of my growing location and kept what actually works. The novelty of chasing every fig wore off, so I only look for early varieties for my home orchard. Fortunately I have a good friend and I have copies of all my figs I parted with at his house.
