I knew Celeste was a parent but didn’t know LSU Tiger was considered Celeste.

I had the same thought also, and even about Stallion.

Hunt is the only fig bred in Georgia, it has Celeste parentage...you almost cannot tell the differnce between it and Celeste.

I'm not sure what you mean by came from the forum?
I know there are Celeste trees out there with names attached to them, not sure why....People find a tree and name it...then sell it with their own name on it when it's just a Celeste tree.
There are probably thousands in the south alone.
But as we know...the same tree can take on different characteristics as in color, flavor, or even size depending on certain environmental conditions.

Celeste was one of the free cuttings I got from being a "new member" of FigFanatic

I never understood the fig naming game, there's nothing wrong with just figuring out what group it belongs to then adding unk celeste, unk Mt Etna, etc etc etc, maybe adding where it came from would be beneficial to some.

You should double down... Northern Express Celeste, it's cold hardy and ripens early. AND, Southern Express Celeste, it thrives on heat, humidity, hurricanes and drought, and it produces non-stop from May until frost.
