Do you grow or would like to grow Citrus….

Good morning Teresa. I wrote you a lovely reply, but the system froze on me and I had to reboot. What an amazing property. It's hard to believe he's getting that much production out of Harbor Freight Tool tents. I totally missed how much acreage he has, also how he was Heating those tool tents. We do grow an amazing amount of citrus in Sunland California. We only have 10 citrus trees on the property, but we really get a lot of production out of them we have 3  grapefruit trees growing in the Citrus Orchard. Four orange trees. All the rest are lemon trees and we do get a tremendous amount of production out of them. We added some apple trees this year a nectarine some peach trees, and eight fig trees all in the ground. I only saw the first video. Later today when I watch the others I will reply post some more. Thank you so much Teresa for putting these videos up the first one was amazing I'm sure the others will be just as good.

I would love to grow Citrus.....but, zone 7B, the best I could do, would be large pots. I already look like a nursery LOL. I have a nectarine that won't give me fruit, but everything I have is in big pots until we can move and plant them.

My citrus are all starting to ripen right now. Just ate my first Satsuma of the year and a few Meyers Lemons. It's going to be a good citrus year at my house!

👼
Daggonit you're just what an hour and a half from me ? Do you bring them in during the winter ?

Do you ever have a problem with fungus gnats?
No, not recently but I have killed 3 Meyer Lemons to date.

Now, I douse them with Gnatrol when I bring them inside, and then use a weaker amount of Gnatrol with every watering. I also spray with insecticidal soap when I bring them in.

I’ve had more problems with scale. Once the fruit is ripening, the scale goes nuts and you really need to watch carefully or they will kill the tree.

I will be bringing them inside tomorrow afternoon. But they go into our mushroom growroom. It's kinda like a garage in that it is very cool and only lightly heated when necessary. The lighting is 6500K and it's more humid than a typical home. They seem to really like it and do well in there. A couple hundred potted figs will go in there, too, before too long.
