Dog Pee Potatoes?

I have these potato plants and my 2 dogs are going pee on them. Would you eat the potatoes? I know some people actually use urine as a fertilizer. I guess it's high in nitrogen. If the fruit were above ground on the plant, I might eat the fruit or vegetables, but potatoes are down in the ground so I don't think I want to eat them. Is there something that will keep the dogs out of an area without putting up a fence?

Fake fire hydrants in different areas? lol

Wondering why the dogs choose those plants to pee on....when there are way better places.
Maybe get some plastic barrels and cut them in half?

I think he picks that spot because it's closest to the house and when I let them out, it's the first place he sees. He doesn't go there all the time and the other dog doesn't go in that spot so I don't know about the potatoes. I will probably just put something around it to keep him out. I don't really give those plants much attention. I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if they die.

Millennial Gardener used urine as a fertilizer. It has NPK but lacks micro nutrients. That's his theory after testing it. So if used with some fish juice or worm castings it would be better than the results he got in an inert material.
