Hope it takes roots just as heavy on bottom

It should. When I root outdoors I bury the entire cutting to the soil line. This way I don’t need to worry about humidity above grade and any roots stay in the ground. I don’t know many others who do it this way but it works well for me

I used to root in straight sphagnum, had crazy good results!

BUT.................................you cannot untangle the roots & moss without breaking some off and if you leave it when you up pot, well that sphagnum ball will hold lots of moisture right around the base of the cutting/rootball, and can be detrimental.

So I quit using it....just my experience. :)

If you catch rooting early you can prevent tangels but yes rooting are delicate will lose a few
