Nice, the bud on one of my Ondatas has grown so aggressively it cracked the bark/leaf scar right below it. They might have been my best rooters this year as well.I got Ondata from a fig festival last year so I will be fertilizing the hell out of it for vigorous growth.
I agree, Pastiliere is a really good fig.I added quite a bit this year and they are all equally anticipated by me
For something that I already have and really excited to try more mature fruits, I would say it’s Pissalutto Bianco and Pastiliere. PB is a stubborn fig. I have had ripe figs since the first year I planted it, but they weren’t very good. Last year a few really surprised me and I read from Eisen’s publication that is really highly valued back then.
Pastiliere needs no introduction. I strongly believe that it’s one of the best dark figs one can grow. Gustav Eisen himself said that if he had to grow only one blue fig, it’s Pastiliere.
