That’s great to hear! It sounds like Crozes is off to a strong start. Excited to see how it continues to develop.Crozes has roots and is starting to green up a bud!!
(Fig pop done on 10/31.)
You have not just a green thumb, but a green hand- congrats!
I’d open the top of the bag and let the soil dry a bit before moving it up, you still got more room for roots though. Reason why I say let it dry a bit before moving up, less chances of clumps of soil falling off with roots and causing stress to the small plant. You just now getting the little feeder roots coming out of the anchor roots, I’d give it minimum 2 more weeks if it was me before moving it up. Not sure what your going up to, but I’d do a 5x12 or a 4x12 if you got it.
What’s the diameter of the fig pop bag? If you’re only going to a 4” tree pot, you may not be gaining too much. Thanks, I’m planning on moving it up to a tall tree pot.
fig pop bag: 4” x 16”What’s the diameter of the fig pop bag? If you’re only going to a 4” tree pot, you may not be gaining too much.
I generally go from rooting container (~3 or 4” diameter) to 1-gallon (~8” diameter) to 7-gallon (~13” diameter). If planting inground or giving away, I’ll stop at 1-gallon.
With the dimensions being so similar, I would imagine you are only buying yourself weeks at most. Unless you pull an ed and just let them languish in a smaller pot forever lol.fig pop bag: 4” x 16”
Tree pot: 11.8” high x 3.9” x 3.9”
Which doesn’t sound like a lot except when the pops are filled with soil, it’s more like 2ish” inches across.
Maybe a 1 gallon would be the better way to go?
That’s up to you and the amount of space you have.fig pop bag: 4” x 16”

That’s good to know.I go from pops to 5x12. I’ve also gotten some pretty large trees in 4x12s so that a good option too. I usually try to do the hybrid pops in the 4x9 so I can go several months. By then it’s either plant, sell, or giveaway. They can grow for a minute in the 5x12s especially. I’ve gotten some 2nd year airlayers from FigTreesUSA in the 5x12 that are straight massive. I’m talking had to be shipped in a 6x6x48 box.
