I've got this outcrop of rocks, they shatter and splinter in interesting ways and I've been mining them every so often. Ya ever seen the stone stacked walls over there in Scotland and England farmlands? I wanna replicate that with maybe a look of just natural, magical rock raised beds, but I also wanna make a dry stone wall for my figs.

The last photos are just rocks placed temporarily. I was wondering if I could build a wall around the trees...I dunno, haven't figured it out yet.

Dunno if I like it yet, maybe a different construction?

Also, it's gonna take a lot of rocks...

My garden ran outta steam, I wasn't sowing seeds throughout the summer like I should have. I got some Cosmos, Zinnia, and hemp flowers. I'm sowing cover crop stuff right now. I went nuclear this year on weed seedlings, but my garden soil is bare in a lot spots, gotta change that.

I also have experimental artichokes, I planted a month or so ago. I'll dig up the roots when frost comes and see if I can replant them again...

We have next season man. We learn and grow every year. :)
 
I grew up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and there are these rock walls that we just always called Chinese walls. My Dad told me that they were built by Chinese slaves during the gold rush. When looking for information about them online, I see that there are some of these walls near San Francisco Bay area. It seems like they want it to be a mystery and say that they don't know who built them. I even saw a TV show about them and they made it sound like these walls could have been built by ancient aliens. I should point out that there were a lot of Chinese immigrants in San Francisco in the 19th century.
