Hello North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia folk,

I am continuing to put together a good working NC fig and fruit growers list. I am adding something new to this list after doing some research. A letter will be placed beside each member on the list to designate activity status. 

A = active
O = Occasionally on-site
X = inactive

I hope this helps to further connect us. Network with one another in order to make sure we all have access to the best figs our climate can offer, and other fruits as well!

I'm about 80 miles away from Asheville, NC here in Abingdon, VA.

I think my status would be O+, like my blood type. Little bit more than occasionally on and still a Jr Member, I don't what that means, but I did receive a kids toy from Joe, so I'm not complaining.

Yeah... "junior member' didn't fit... it was just a system default.... We got that fixed.. :)
 
Good or bad news! I have been called back into action to edit and care for the Second Forums and Fanatics NC Fig and Fruit Traders Directory. I have eliminated the A, O, and Xs in the Second Forum. If an editor is needed here to copy and care for the Directory - please someone do so - with my blessing. Shaft would do a great job too. Odd things keep happening - ain’t life interesting? 🤔
 
Dave, Bill Snotherly or Wellingtonbill here and on the other forum. I set up the directory and farmed it out to Malcolm Heath on Fig-fanatics. I am monitoring the NC Fig and Fruit Directory on the other mega Fig and Fruit Forum. I can set you up on that one!

Hi - I recently joined this forum and live outside of Asheville. just wondering if there is an annual swap ofr fig cuttings in NC like some other states have? I am just starting out so trying to learn as much as possible. thanks!

Yes! We do Figapalooza at my farm. It's going to be sometime in September, probably the 6th. I'll post updates as it gets closer, but if you email me at foefigs@gmail.com I can add you to the email list.

@TorontoJoe Yeah we are doing raffles. I've asked each vendor to donate an item from their booth, though that is optional. I'm donating a fig tree, probably an israeli-7.

As far as numbers, it's hard to say. The first year we had a few hundred come out. We doubled that last year. I'm hoping to double it again this year. I'd be happy to promote FigFanatic at the event!

Hopefully if things work out (and wife doesn't insist on beach trip) I can make it this year.
