So, I don’t know if anyone else has fruited Galicia Negra in ground in zone 7a, but I proved it’s possible this year. This is from a tree in its second leaf. It was planted in ground in the late Summer of 2024 and rooted in late Spring 2024. I did this as an experiment as I knew how late it was. The fruit is deformed - it was the first and only fig from this tree so far. I pinched it. It ripened on October 29th.
