Fig Pop Roots!

I started some Fig Pops about two weeks ago. Today when I went out to check on them I discovered roots!

The only problem is, the roots are coming from the top node where I was expecting green growth. Should I bury the baby roots and hope for a new branch? What would you do? Thank you! 1000001648.jpg

When doing figpops. Always leave one node out of the pop. You can seal that node with wax, Wrap it in parafilm of leave it to the elements. I would let the section above the rubber band breathe and hope the nodes in the pop are producing roots like that.

If that was my cutting, at this point I might plant the whole cutting 1" below the surface of the soil horizontally in a pot or tub. The whole cutting covered with medium, or semicovered.
