1st fruits this week which is about a month before normal years in the past. Z7a western NC. Each from potted trees but no headstart except nature's grace. We had our last frost in March so been a great Spring and natural headstart with great weather.

1st Breba - Battaglia Green Adriatic 6/7
1st Main - Improved Celeste 6/11

Imp Celeste might be a breba? It's either from the last node of old wood or 1st node of new wood, not sure which.

This is going to be a year of early ripeness. At this rate I'll have ripe Etnas by mid July. Looking good over here!!! No hail storms allowed.

Drop a few more pics of recent ripening. And some tomato borer + cat :)

The Atreano breba was pure cotton candy. Never thought it possible, but just like the grapes, sweet honey berry cotton candy. This tree is not Atreano as we know it and nothing like white triana, conadria, etc, it's a dud that hasn't fruited in like 4-5 years here and still hesitant to make main crop, but this 1 fruit almost made it worth the wait. I would neither recommend whatever this variety actually is, nor the seller.

The Fort Mill Dark and today's Nero 600m were so good it declares the season has officially begun. Brebas are generally so low quality but Bordeaux types really make great breba! Today's Fort Mill Dark weighed in a whopping 58 grams, too!! Bigguns. How 'bout them Bordeauxs! Yum

What's your take on Battaglia?
I don't want to get it if it's like the other Adriatics.
Anything that sets it apart in your opinion?

It's vigorous and in my top 3 Adriatics w WM1 & Adriatic jh (gardencrochet version). The brebas have not great unfortunately. It's taken less time to pump fruit than other slower Adriatics so its reliable. Main crop is earlier than most other Adriatics. Fruit quality of any Adriatic is superb! Paradiso bronze took years to get going but looks great this year so it's also looking good. Similarly, others like smgg & harrys crete took years to fruit unlike Battaglia, WM1, and Adriatic jh that immediately fruited well.

Sounds good actually, I have SMGG, AJH, WM#1 & Lake Spur Unk. There may even be 1 or 2 more I'm not remembering.
I may have to add that one and thin our some others.
Thanks for the info.
